5th Annual Roy Manley Sr. - St. Jude Charity Ride.

Well I was running a bit early on the way down so I decided to pick up a couple of Geocaches on the way down there.  Once I got their and unloaded it started to rain as I was gearing up the wheeler with gps and video system.

I had decided to hook up with RockyBR and ride with the Shoals ATV Riders.  When the all arrived we headed 9 Miles up the Mountian to the place where the eatin' was going to go on.

They were already many people up there.  The had a mud pit for people to play in, extremely large liars club area.  For all of yall that has never been to Harland.  That's the circle around the fire ring where true stories get blow out of proprotion.

They had cooked BBQ for days looked like with the two big cookers that everybody as how did they get those things up here. The Sholes Club decided to hit the trails before the drawing so they could get some miles in before dark.

The rain had quit just as we arrived so the rest of the day was rain and dust free.  We went to the power lines where we seen some rock crawling, then to the top of the stair steps and hit several trails on the other side of the mountain, About 4:30/ 5:30 American Time one was running low on gas, but the shoals riders wanted to ride on so I said I would guide the woman and her father back to the truck 15 miles away.

I wound up with seven to guide back. Several issues arose on the way in like ATV's Running Hot, One wouldn't start and had to be pulled a few miles and decided to run again.   One decided not to follow the guide and found a bottomless hole and had to be winched out.

The stock 4 wheel drive trucks that pulled the cookers and supplies up the mountain were stuck in different holes, We had to go trail blazing to get by them.

It was a very interesting and fun ride, Sure glad I went and would have loved to stayed and rode with the Shoals Riders but guide duty called and I just hope they had as much adventure on the way back to the truck as we did.

I had to meet Rebel1 in Hollywood so I was headed North as soon as I was loaded.
